About our English Courses

Our courses are underpinned by two key standards:

Our students start at the bottom of this scale, A1, moving through to levels B1 or B2 by the time the finish secondary school. Moving a level, say from A2 to B1, would require about 120 hours of classroom instruction and between 100 and 150 hours of self-study.

In order to study in universities in English-speaking countries, students would be expected to be at C1 level, which is about 6.5 to 7 on the IELTS scale. The table below shows how the various test scores relate.
